How it works

  1. Drop your JPG, PNG or WebP file.
  2. We binary-search the quality until the output lands at 2 MB or below.
  3. Review the before/after size and download.

If your image is photo-heavy, JPEG is used; screenshots and images with transparency are encoded as WebP to preserve crisp text. If the target is too small to reach without visible damage, we show a warning and let you keep the better-quality version.

FAQ

Can you really hit 2 MB?

Almost always. We test a range of quality levels and pick the highest quality that still fits. Only very large photos with lots of detail may need a slight reduction in dimensions to reach very small targets.

Does target-size compression hurt quality much?

For 2 MB on a normal photo, no visible loss. For tiny targets we always prefer the highest quality that fits and warn you when the result would be too aggressive.
